A recent discussion about lopped off hands has inspired me to explore some of my favorite lopped off hands in American film history. Feel free to suggest some of your own favorite lopped off movie hands. It’s fun.

Of course, this list is not exhaustive, and it completely disregards all sorts of severed arms and their associated hands, including but not limited to the three greatest movie arms of all time:
