My grandiose claims (and here) about being the world’s best Super Mario Kart player are no longer the stuff of fantasy. They are now a reality.
On March 17, 2008, as validated by TwinGalaxies.com, the worldwide Authority on Player Rankings, Gaming Statistics and Championship Tournaments, I, John Ohab, was officially unveiled as the World Record Holder of the Fastest Lap and Fastest Race in the Time Trial Category on both the first (Mario Circuit 1) and last (Rainbow Road) tracks of Super Mario Kart for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. Although not officially documented, the previous sentence also holds the world record for longest sentence about a Super Mario Kart world record.
