While developing innovative neural repair strategies and advancing the field of neuroscience are the main goals in the Carmichael Lab, we also recognize that personal health and wellbeing is a key ingredient to academic success. For this reason, we have developed a series of physical challenges throughout the laboratory to improve personal fitness while still achieving our research goals. These “physical challenges” are a kin to those on Super Sloppy Double Dare, except replace whipped cream and chocolate sauce with Xylenes and Normal Donkey Serum, and sans Mark Summers. Athletics are nothing new for members of the Carmichael Lab. Dr. Carmichael himself was once a legend on the rugby field and my accomplishments on the high school tennis courts are highlighted in most history textbooks. Below, an exhausted Amanda gives the thumbs up having just completed the Chair Lab-yrinth.

One shouldn’t confuse this with the infamous “NFL Challenge” that Roger created in Richard’s 10ftx10ft “backyard”.
